The Mt Kembla Heritage Centre has closed.
However, download the Self-Guided Walking Tours on the Heritage Centre page. There's plenty to discover.
The Mt Kembla Memorial Pathway is another treasure to explore.
There are 3 stages:
Stage 1- wide, smooth, flat grade, pathway is accessible from either the beginning of Mt Kembla Village (at the bottom of the first hill on the right), or from Stones Road car park.
Stage 2 - wide, smooth pathway from Stones Road car park, flat grade to start, gentle slope further along. From Kirkwood Place - gentle slope downhill and flat to Stones Road car park.
Stage 3 - wide, stony, rough surface in places, not paved; steep uphill from Kirkwood Place to the Bradford Breaker lookout and return.
Driving Directions
Take the round-about on the corner of the Princes Highway and Cordeaux Road; proceed along Cordeaux Road to the top of the first hill and turn right into Stones Road. Follow the road to the Car Park area near the Memorial on the right.
If travelling along the M1 take the Five Islands Road turn off and proceed towards Unanderra until you get to the Princes Highway; turn right, go under the bridge and left into Cordeaux Road.
